Web Design for Designers is a five-week workshop collaboration with Refresh Pittsburgh and AIGA Pittsburgh taught by Val Head, Josh Sager and Andrew Twigg. This course is for designers who want to learn the basics of designing for the web, even if they have no background whatsoever working with code.

Some Things We'll Cover:

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is for print or traditional designers who want to kickstart their web design skills.

What you’ll need:

  • Your laptop
  • a text editor or IDE
( Coda and TextMate are two cool text editors. On the PC notepad++, notepad 2, or Dreamweaver should do you good.)
  • The latest version of Google Chrome installed on your laptop

What you’ll get:

An applied survey of the important concepts and current topics in web design and a strong foundation to applying your design skills to the web.

No coding or web experience necessary. Really, none. This course starts from the very beginning!

Attendance of all classes is required. The topics covered in each Saturday session will build upon each other. If you can't attend all five sessions it's up to you to make up what you've missed to catch up with the rest of the class.

Hardware: No computers will be provided. All attendees are expected to bring their own laptop.

Ticket sales start on Wednesday January 16th
